Staff VP, Sales Development  

Location    

Successful candidate must reside within 50 miles of an Elevance Health office location, and able to commute on-site at least 3 days per week. 

Summary  

Responsible for the development, execution, and implementation of the RFPs/RFIs and new business opportunities for growth and retention of CarelonRx clients.  Manage a team to support the complex RFP process while partnering with subject matter experts from key areas including legal, audit, and sales in support of the submission of market-leading competitive offers for both Integrated and standalone Rx business. 

Team Scope  

5-6 directs; 30 total associates 

Position Responsibilities  

  • Works with local plan presidents and market regional sales leaders to launch, expand and enhance the model. Works with market sales leaders to develop and implement robust field sales training and coaching programs to develop sales skills in their regions.  

  • Works with group presidents and national accounts to develop and implement programs to capture sales from group coverage. Provides field sales strategy support to broker and captive agent channels.  

  • Ability to work under tight timelines, manage numerous proposals while prioritizing deadlines 

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. 

  • Strong written and verbal communications with all levels of the organization 

Position Requirements  

Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. 

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences  

  • Demonstrated track record in PBM and/or proposal management with exceptional coaching and leadership skills strongly preferred. 

  • Experience in RFP writing; PBM experience, a plus. 

  • Collaboration with key stakeholders to evaluate client requests and requirements  

  • Ability to identify and breakdown barriers for growth & retention 

  • Committed to process excellence and continuous improvement  

  • PBM strategic insights and market practices 

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $148,680 to $297,360 

Locations:  California; Colorado; Nevada; New York; Washington State; Jersey City, NJ
