The Outreach & Education Representative will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relations between providers, third party administrators, trade/professional Associations and the Centers for Medicare/Medicare Services (CMS) or DOD delivery system. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Researches and resolves Medicare or Tricare operational issues.
  • Works with all Medicare or Tricare operational departments to address provider grievances and service and educational issues.
  • Provides education and training to providers regarding Medicare or Tricare regulations, program transmittals, change requests, and joint signature memorandums via face-to-face and web-based training platforms.
  • Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of some Medicare or Tricare coverage issues, medical coding, and general knowledge of CMS or DHA claims processing systems.
  • Identifies and selects potential providers to participate in CMS or DHA guided focus groups, Medicare/Tricare advisory panels etc.
  • Requires a BA/BS; 3 years of Medicare or Tricare Contract experience; 2 years of experience in adult learning or instructional design theory training; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Certified medical coder preferred.
  • Some travel required.

You have to be at least 18 years of age (unless part of an approved/sponsored program) and currently enrolled in an accredited US college or university. For actuarial students, sitting for or having at least one exam completed by the time your interview is an advantage.

We offer internships that are 3 months, 6 months and part-time during the school year. Our opportunities are based on business needs and student availability.

Because internships are temporary positions, the only benefits offered at this time are access to our onsite fitness facilities, and the ability to contribute to a 401k. We do, however, offer opportunities to get connected, and be mentored through our various ARGs (Associate Resource Groups).
