Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:  
• Leads multiple or large projects and facilitates large group JAD sessions for requirements, modeling in several disciplines. 
• Responsible for delivery of application technology solutions and planning effort. 
• Works with internal and external customers to build architecture to support new initiatives.
• Provide support to technical teams to develop design and development of processes
• Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements, leads requirements gathering meetings, reviews designs with the business, address issues, prepare alternatives and implement solutions
• Owns the change request process and coordinates with other teams as necessary. 
• Validate code prior to migrations to ensure successful implementation
• Analyze and provide support on production issues
• Coordinate integration activities to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts
• Develops and defines application scope and objectives and supervises the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written. 
• Performs technical design reviews and code reviews. 

Requires a BS/BA degree and 8-10 years’ developer experience, or any combination of education and experience which would provide and equivalent background. 
Requires healthcare experience and prior knowledge of healthcare data.
Knowledge of Anthem member and claims data is preferred 
Requires experience in providing Architecture on medium to complex projects 
3-5 years of experience in developing complex processes using Scala, Hadoop, Hive, Mongo is needed.
3 years of experience working on Spark environment is needed.
Experience in cloud integrations is preferred.
Anthem data experience is preferred
Familiarity with relational database environments such as Oracle is required.   
Establishes and maintains excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues. 
Experience with major ETL technologies required
Working with large datasets and complex transformations is needed 
Big Data Experience Needed.

You have to be at least 18 years of age (unless part of an approved/sponsored program) and currently enrolled in an accredited US college or university. For actuarial students, sitting for or having at least one exam completed by the time your interview is an advantage.

We offer internships that are 3 months, 6 months and part-time during the school year. Our opportunities are based on business needs and student availability.

We are delighted to get to know you! Our team participates in various on-campus events throughout the year and from time to time hosts meetings in our offices. The fastest way to see where you stand in the application process is to log into our system to check your status.

Because internships are temporary positions, the only benefits offered at this time are access to our onsite fitness facilities, and the ability to contribute to a 401k. We do, however, offer opportunities to get connected, and be mentored through our various ARGs (Associate Resource Groups).
