Job Responsibilities:

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible for the full range of database development, support activities and detailed analysis. 
• Develops database designs based on business requirements. 
• Reviews and revises database designs and ensures that all technical and business requirements are met. 
• Builds database structures based on detailed design.
•  Performs database testing to ensure performance is met and compare with expected results. Provides support during the system implementation and production. 
• Suggests new features, coding techniques and reference material. Identifies gaps in scripts and procedures.  suggests options for implementation of features.  
• Provides 24x7 production and non-production DBA on-call support. 
Requires BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Systems or related field; 5 or more of industry experience required in information systems and 5 or more years of experience in database administration or related disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.  Requires detailed business knowledge, detailed technical design knowledge, knowledge of database administration techniques and database administration tools. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.  Leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others.  Experience with DBMS performance management and monitoring tools.  Proficiency in utilizing DBMS system management tools and implementation of new features and functionality preferred.


Qualifications:

Experience in SQL Server 2016/2014/2012/2008R2 and Oracle 11g/12c/19c.
Ability to provide database maintenance and perform database tuning. 
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile/SCRUM methodologies. 
Experience with database recovery solutions, such as backups and restores with good understanding of DBMS transactional processing.
Remains abreast of and analyzes new and emerging technologies and tools for applicability to the field.
Ability to adapt to varied roles and job responsibilities and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Oracle\Microsoft SQL DISA STIGs

You have to be at least 18 years of age (unless part of an approved/sponsored program) and currently enrolled in an accredited US college or university. For actuarial students, sitting for or having at least one exam completed by the time your interview is an advantage.

We offer internships that are 3 months, 6 months and part-time during the school year. Our opportunities are based on business needs and student availability.
