Health Economics Clinical is seeking an experienced Advanced Analytics Consultant Sr. to join our growing team. Our team integrates clinical rules, predictive models and population analytics to enable clinical programs to better target members, drive behavior change and improve care.  We support clinical program and business leaders to apply the insights to test and drive clinical program targeting product innovation and enhancement, to target the right members for the right program, to measure program outcome and demonstrate value, to help win and retain clients, and to support information based strategic decision making.
 
 
Primary duties of this role may include, but are not limited to:
•Provides analytical insights to support business solution development based on quality, use, cost and other key drivers
•Develops and refines analysis templates for problem diagnosis and opportunities assessment
•Supports the development and implementation of risk-adjusted measures.
•Contributes to measuring the value of new program/initiatives based on test/pilot outcomes
•Develops cost of care and other value metrics that precisely quantify the value of predictive models, clinical rules and other tools that help target members
•Develops methodology to measure solution value based on clinical, utilization and financial outcomes of a program/initiative
•Conducts in-depth research to support and inform methodology used to measure target solution value.   
 

Requires Doctoral Degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology or equivalent training and mastery; minimum 10 years experience in related health care analytics; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.Advanced expertise with software such as SAS Stat, SAS ETS, SAS Enterprise Miner or equivalent. Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Teradata, SQL, SQL Server, or equivalent. Experience in large complex systems, including a solid background in effective use of multiple environments (PC, server, mainframe, intranet). Proven ability to design modeling studies. Experience with data models, addressing data quality issues in study design, constructing robust and efficient analytical data sets. Proven ability to present meaningful results to a business audience. Demonstrated leadership competencies with the ability to collaborate with others and establish working relationships, communicate effectively across the organization and at different levels, coordinate multiple work efforts, and translate business needs into practical applications and solutions. Demonstrated experience in managing the design, development, and continuous improvement of complex healthcare
data systems, tools, and reports.

Ideal candidates should have fluency working with SAS, Teradata, R or Python or equivalents database/analytical tools; Experience working with administrative and clinical healthcare data is required. Specifically experience with risk adjustment methodologies, design and analysis of retrospective studies, multilevel modeling, Bayesian analysis. Experience with payor or population health is preferred. Experience with predicative modeling and reporting is a plus. Experience with modeling of healthcare care data and addressing data quality issues.

Proven ability to present meaningful results to a business audience. Demonstrated leadership competencies with the ability to collaborate with others and establish working relationships, communicate effectively across the organization and at different levels, coordinate multiple work efforts, and translate business needs into practical applications and solutions. Demonstrated experience in managing the design, development, and continuous improvement of complex healthcare data systems, tools, and reports.
