College Recruiter (Talent Acquisition Consultant or Consultant Sr.)
The location for this position is in Indianapolis, IN; this is not a work at home position.
(No relocation assistance is available)
The College Recruiter will be responsible for partnering with human resource professionals, business unit managers and functional managers to strategically source, select, and screen a diverse pool of interns and entry-level professionals across all business units for Anthem, Inc.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Work with senior line management and Talent Acquisition college team to determine annual campus relations strategies and processes and successfully meet annual goals.
- Coordinate and attend college recruiting events (as needed) including: career fairs, interviews, and other on-campus recruitment events.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a variety of external constituents (e.g., campus career services staff, academic department staff, vendors, student leaders, etc.).
- Partner with and support internal campus champions and campus teams through pre-event strategy meetings, event execution and post-event follow-up.
- Collaborate with hiring managers, leadership and HR delivery team in the staffing and selection processes to ensure positions are filled with the most highly talented candidates.
PLEASE NOTE: This position may be filled at either the Talent Acquisition Consultant or Talent Acquisition Consultant Sr. level. Manager will determine level based upon selected applicant's skill set and experience, relative to the qualifications of the position.

Talent Acquisition Consultant
- Requires a BA degree;
- 1 year related staffing experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Talent Acquisition Consultant Sr.
- Requires a BA degree;
- 4 years’ experience in recruiting and placement of exempt staff; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Qualifications for either level
- Prior direct responsibility for college and intern programs strongly preferred.
- Ability to build successful relationships internally and externally
- Interviewing and selection experience (campus experience preferred)
- Knowledge of EEO/AAP and diversity recruiting programs
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and a variable workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Strong selling and negotiation skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to implement change, and a strong commitment to customer service
- Ability to think strategically and proactively to provide solutions to hiring managers
- Understanding of college labor market, schools and trends
- Ability to travel as needed during peak recruiting seasons (typically September - November, January - April)
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (Taleo a plus)
