Our Customer Care Representatives are making a difference in members' lives every day.

As a Customer Care Representative you will guide members through their healthcare experience, answer customer questions via phone, e-mail, or chat; or help providers with questions about member plans. You will be the person that members can rely on to help them navigate their healthcare needs by explaining their benefits, solving claim concerns, finding a doctor nearby or being their healthcare advocate. You will be their guide to a better healthcare experience by being proactive, anticipating next steps, and ensuring that they only need to call once to get the help they need.

Here's what a typical day may look like:

  • From the moment you login, you'll be focused on answering customer calls, demonstrating our values as you proactively work to resolve our members' questions and concerns
  • You'll strive for first call resolution, working to resolve member issues at the point of contact
  • Using dual monitors and leveraging computer based resources you'll find answers to customers questions, and help simplify next steps for members without giving them homework
  • Acting as an advocate for our members, you may reach out to partners in other departments, or to Doctor's office to help resolve a customer need or concern
  • You will be constantly learning, growing your knowledge and skills, and embracing new technology as we continue to evolve how we service our customers

Applied Pathways a wholly owned subsidiary of AIM Specialty Health (AIM), is focused on reducing the unwanted variance in healthcare that leads to unnecessary spending without positively impacting quality of care. Our cloud-based clinical visual rules modeling and enterprise clinical knowledge Management for Healthcare technology facilitates the development and distribution of interoperable, EMR-agnostic clinical decision support and quality management solutions. Applied Pathways' Curion Platform enables clinicians and business users to centrally develop, manage, and curate institutional knowledge and clinical best practices, for integration in third-party systems or Applied Pathways' suite of applications.


Clients include National Healthcare Foundations, Payers, Healthcare startups, and others that use Applied Pathways technology as a framework to expand, syndicate their intellectual capital and support a wide variety of use cases.


The Senior Solutions Engineer Advisor position plays a key role in the development of Applied Pathways’ platform. This platform is the engine that powers our customers’ clinical decision tree workflows. We are looking for a new member for our platform development team who will be responsible for improvements and maintenance of our platform components throughout all phases of our development lifecycle. As developers grow in this role, opportunities exist to move into team management and architecture roles.


Primary duties for the  Solutions Engineer Advisor Sr role may include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with the product team to identify and refine business innovations and new concepts.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify new enterprise platform capabilities.
  • Evaluate and adopt the latest software technologies and components.
  • Understand both business and technical requests and requirements and integrate those needs into our platform capabilities.
  • Develop robust, reusable and reliable platform components that enhance our platform, frameworks and services.
  • Share ideas and concepts with our development teams to improve and extend our platform capabilities.
  • Grow as a developer by exchanging knowledge and ideas with team members and other developers.
  • Improve the performance of the team by regularly reviewing our activities and identifying new ways of working together.
  • Work in cross-functional development environments to ensure our platform capabilities are used and supported in a variety of products and services.
  • Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.
  • Ensures unit tests are completed and meet the test plan requirements.
  • Coordinates on-call support and ensures effective monitoring of the system.
  • Maintains technical development environment.
  • Mentors others and may lead multiple or small to medium sized projects. 
  • Facilitates group sessions to elicit complex information on requirements clarification, design sessions, code reviews and troubleshooting issues. 
  • Supports vendor evaluation.  


Qualified Candidates will have:

  • BA/BS degree or technical institute training or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background in software development.

  • Senior Solution Engineer Advisor position will require 7 years of experience with Java or 7+ years of experience with other object-oriented languages writing well designed, clean, efficient code backed by unit tests.

  • 5 years’ experience developing web services with deep understanding of SOA principles, HTTP, and REST.

  • 3 years’ experience with SQL and ORMs.

  • 2 years’ experience with Spring Boot 2.

  • 2 years’ experience developing using Docker or Kubernetes.

  • 2 years’ experience with GIT version control.

  • Core understanding of SOLID principles.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor others, lead small projects and improve team performance

  • Demonstrated ability to provide troubleshooting support.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills as you will be working directly with a combination of on premise and distributed team.

  • Well-versed in design patterns.

  • Multi-programming language or multi-business application is preferred.

Extras that will set you apart:

  • Experience with MS SQL.

  • Experience with CI/CD systems.

  • Experience and knowledge of Health Care Industry desired.

  • Experience with Angular.io (version 7 or above) and/or Ionic (version 4)
