The Director II of Implementations is responsible for directing a multi-discipline, multi-state team, managing the implementation process for both new and renewing accounts and transactional plan changes for all Large and Key Groups.  This role also includes critical liaison responsibilities between the Account Management Team, Sales Leadership, Sales Support, and ability to partner with all other key internal and external stakeholders to proactively identify and address critical implementation issues ensuring customer expectations are consistently satisfied or exceeded.
  
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Sales and Account Management to build organizational credibility between Implementations and the Markets.
  • Establishes and executes best practices and controls to ensure optimal performance on all procedures, files, and interfaces.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
  • Responsible for the development and ongoing management of one or more external client facing programs that are multi-state, multi-function and multi-year in scope.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in response to day to day business issues; researches applicable subject matter practices; and remains aware of industry trends.
  • Oversees the timely and accurate implementation of our customers benefit plans to include account set-up, administration, membership and billing.
  • Directs the development and execution of management control processes for customers and implementation plans to ensure group needs are determined and contractual obligations are attained or exceeded.
  • Routinely supports the Sales and Account Management Team at account meetings and Sales Finalist Presentations in the effort of securing business growth for the company.
  • Ensures all critical deliverables from multiple functions within the company are met timely and accurately according to our customers selected benefit plans and performance guarantees.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate issuance of all ID cards to members, standard Benefit Booklets, and ongoing ID card issuance during the plan year.
  • Directs membership team in processing enrollment of new members, updates to membership, and premium billing.
  • Directs analysis of system capabilities and production support.
  • Coordinates communication to all functions, customers, vendors and consultants.
  • Manages organization budget in conjunction with Finance to ensure multiple cost centers under Director are on target and maintained through the year.
  • Manages external client facing relationships and partners with corporate and regional business areas.
  • Oversees staff that develops communication documents and training criteria related to external client facing programs.
  • Provides leadership to program managers and project managers.
  • Support business strategies for success of overall end to end implementation processes as well as corporate projects and initiatives

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Preference is for hire to be physically located in one of the Anthem locations.  WAH considerations must be located in an Anthem state.

Qualifications:
Requires BA/BS in related field; 7-9 years’ experience in health insurance service operations, particularly enrollment and billing or account implementations, or account management experience working with implementations; or equivalent combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 
MBA or PMP certification preferred. 
Sales/Account Management experience preferred.
