Business Change Advisor

 

Responsible for assisting the management within the business unit and the organization in bridging the gap between the current and desired business performance levels and balancing short-term business needs with long-term perspectives on success to ensure that our change journey produces desired results.


Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

  1. Helps build and support the company's change network.  
  2. Communicates information from a variety of sources through newsletters, dashboards and presentations.
  3. Promotes benefits of function within region as well as throughout the company.
  4. Must be capable of translating complex topics into understandable components both verbally and in writing.
  5. May make recommendations based upon input from stakeholders, data analysis and data policy.
  6. Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership or external customers.
  7. Ability to translate complex topics and situations into understandable components and appropriately communicate and lead others.
  8. Performs training and coaching on the corporate data use, and release policies and the legal paperwork and process to administer the policy.
  9. Continuous improvement mindset.
  10. Ability to create training and coaching materials.

Business Change Manager

Responsible for working with management to identify and implement varied projects, programs and plans that support achievement of business unit and enterprise goals.

 

Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

 

  1. Identifies potential issues, project charge, and scope.
  2. Leads efforts to identify best practices.
  3. Identifies impacted parties, business partners, and resources required.
  4. Develops and designs processes and systems that support business needs.
  5. Designs methods for integrating function and process.
  6. Conducts cost/benefit analyses.
  7. Builds support for business change throughout the business unit.
  8. Must be capable of translating complex topics into understandable components both verbally and in writing.
  9. May make recommendations based upon input from stakeholders, data analysis and data policy.

Business Change Director


As a leader supporting the Anthem Data release policy administration, responsible for working with management to identify and implement varied projects, programs and plans that support achievement of business unit and enterprise goals.

 

Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

 

  1. May specialize in one area of organization effectiveness (planning, project portfolio, or culture/change) or be assigned to directly support a business unit and ensures activities are aligned with corporate strategy.
  2. Identifies potential issues, project change, and scope data.
  3. Leads efforts to identify best practices. Identifies impacted parties, business partners, and resources required.
  4. Develops and designs processes and systems that support business needs.
  5. Designs methods for integrating functions and processes.
  6. Conducts cost/benefit analyses.
  7. Analyzes gaps in the current processes and practices and builds support for business change throughout the business unit.
  8. Provides process, project, and change management methodology coaching/consulting support to both local and enterprise wide initiatives.
  9. Leads the project prioritization and scheduling activities for the business unit.
  10. Provides expertise to the business areas in culture/change management activities.
  11. Provides expertise in process planning and portfolio management activities.
  12. Supports the execution of the operating plan.
  13. Responsible for leading projects that will impact Anthem’s data use and release policy and administration.

Business Change Advisor
  • Requires a BA/BS degree.
  • 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Business Change Manager

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field.
  • 5-8 years of process or project related experience that includes experience in successfully developing and managing projects with fairly significant operating budget and knowledge of process redesign.
  • Any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Qualifications for all levels:
  • Proficient level proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint required.

Business Change Director

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field.
  • 10 years managing mid to large-scale change/project initiatives including knowledge of planning models and methodology, project management and change management experience (strategic and execution).
  • Any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and in writing)

LGBTQ inclusion – SAFE Space and Gender Transition Guidelines

We are proud to be recognized by the HRC among the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality by obtaining a perfect score in the Corporate Equality Index. Our PRIDE ARG helps us identify and implement best practices and programs such as the Anthem Safe Space Program, the Gender Inclusion and Transition Guidelines, and Transgender Training for customer-facing associates. This ARG also helped create “Building an LGBT –Friendly Practice”, an online training module that we offer to all health care providers.

Unconscious Bias training

We train our leaders to make more informed and effective decisions by mitigating unconscious bias. There’s extensive research about the impact of unintended bias in decisions that affect people in the workplace so in 2017 we launched “Decide: The Neuroscience of Breaking Bias,” an eLearning experience that helps leaders identify, label and take action to minimize bias in order to build effective and inclusive teams.

Connect With Our Communities

Our associates are passionate about serving our members and giving back to the community and the company supports these efforts through several programs.

Year-round, Anthem associates give generously to health-related nonprofit organizations across the country through our Associate Giving Program, which offers a 50 percent match from the Anthem Foundation.

The Dollars for Doers program encourages year-round associate volunteerism—and helps associates’ commitment go even further by providing grants to eligible organizations where the volunteer service is completed. In 2017, our associates logged over 55,000 hours! To make it even easier to volunteer, associates can have up to eight hours of paid volunteer time off each year to be used to volunteer at qualified charities of their choice.

The Volunteer Recognition Program invites Anthem associates to share their volunteer stories or nominate their colleagues who volunteer in the community. Each quarter associates nominate and vote for a winner who exemplifies our value of Caring for Our Communities. The winner chooses an eligible charity to receive a special grant from the Anthem Foundation.
