  • Requires BS/BA in Computer Science or Information Technology; 7 + years industry experience in Information Systems and 7 + years experience in Database Administration or related disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with any size groups and superior communication skills; verbal, interpersonal and written 
  • Experience and demonstrated proficiency utilizing DBMS system management tools and demonstrated proficiency implementing the majority of new DBMS features and functionality preferred
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability direct junior DBA's and onshore/offshore resources
  • Ability to create/give presentations to project teams/groups
  • Experience in utilizing DBMS systems management tools and implementing new features and functionality preferred
  • Provide 24/7 production database support for all Oracle databases using AIX/Linux (OEL) OS and HACMP/RAC/Toad/OEM as tools and technologies
  • Provide 24/7 Database Machine Administration support for Exadata machines
  • DBMS system and performance management; monitor database and servers, including day-to-day processes to rectify any production and data issues.
  • Provide technical guidance on software tools and techniques.
  • Utilize database backup technologies and tools, including performance tuning tools and techniques(Tivoli, NetCool, OEM, Cloud Control, AWR, ADDM) to maintain lowest Mean Time to Recover in the event of database failures
  • Help DBA leadership in decision making and implementing various strategies that are set by the team, including but not limited to monitoring strategies, backup strategies and troubleshooting strategies
  • Help DBA leadership in decision making and setting up DBA support level standards
  • Upgrade database servers from unsupported versions to vendor supported versions, including analysis, capacity management and forecasting, requesting for new servers and migrating the databases to the latest supported versions.
  • Discuss business solutions with business team to resolve existing problems and improve the application stability
  • Support application and implement process as per specifications provided
  • Perform requirements gathering and analysis, estimate time required for project completion
  • Prepare schedules, design documentation, design reviews and development, testing and deployment of application enhancements, as well as project planning
  • Perform regular restore tests of critical databases using RMAN or manually as required

    Review work products and deploy application in test environment and initiate process of user acceptance, including fixing of bugs and technical errors, and support system components during system testing, integration and during promotion of these components to production environment

  • Help form procedures and policies for the production support team. Review them with the team as and when required. Help resolve customer and management escalations
  • Attend regular staff level meetings to ensure proper support and delivery of work
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others


Database Admin Analyst Sr

  • Requires BA/BS degree in computer science/information management; 5+ years experience in information systems and 3+ years experience in data administration; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background 
  • Prior experience with ASG, Rochade Evoke, Data Foundations/Kalido or similar, UNIX, JAVA, PowerBuilder, Oracle, DB2 UDB, Teredata, Sybase and SQL servers preferred


Database Admin Analyst II


  • Requires BA/BS degree in computer science/information management; 3+ years experience in information systems and 1 year experience in data administration or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background 
  • Prior experience with ASG Rochade Evoke, Data Foundations/Kalido or similar, UNIX, JAVA, PowerBuilder, Oracle, DB2 UDB, Teredata, Sybase and SQL servers preferred
