Configuration Engineer Senior will support the test environments used to support regional, enterprise, and/or other special project releases using Remedy and JIRA; work directly with customers to define environment requirements and participate in the environment set-up and maintenance; work with internal customers to design environment in Unix and Linux operating systems; perform environment’s requirements’ analysis, environment set up and maintenance; monitor system performance and capacity for all test environments and troubleshoot environmental issues; set up and execute jobs to extract and manipulate test data; execute database changes and work with the database to ensure data related needs are handled efficiently; support software test environments (QA, UAT, Staging) as well as production; conduct test environment design or request meetings; execute the build, installation scripts and deployment scripts using Ant and MS Build; maintain migrations between each tool promotion levels and the associated testing or production environment; administer and configure systems using Jenkins and Bamboo; perform code migrations; prepare, merge and version code using Subversion and Clearcase for production builds; compile release notes to summarize the content of each migration and create scripts to migrate code and database changes during minor, major and emergency releases; work with the release team to transition from development to production; configure and deploy applications on WebSphere and Tomcat servers; use package manager tools NuGet and NPM; use UDeploy and URelease; perform TIBCO administration as needed; and troubleshoot environmental issues.


Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 4 years of experience in deployment, release management and configuration management. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): version control tools, including Subversion and Clearcase; build tools, including Ant and MS build; package manager tools, including NuGet and NPM; continuous integration tools, including Jenkins and Bamboo; ITSM tools, including Remedy and JIRA; configuration and deployment in WebSphere and Tomcat; UDeploy and URelease; TIBCO administration; Unix and Linux operating systems; and Java and .Net development.
