Developer Advisor will participate in all phases of the development and maintenance of a product life cycle, utilizing specific technology platforms, including TIBCO product suite (API Exchange, Administrator, EMS, Business Works) as well as SOA, Agile, XML, WSDL and SOAP; maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements; collaborate with engineers and graphic designers, analyze and classify complex change request and review and evaluate possible enhancements; work with development team to develop and define application scope and objectives using software development best practices, including version control and release management; prepare functional and/or technical specifications; design and implement patterns in TIBCO, including Service Bus Utilization, Service Mediation, Message Based Applications as well as event driven architecture patterns (including real-time synchronous and asynchronous integration); analyze and evaluate detailed business and technical requirements; write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements; contribute ideas for making applications better and easier to use; develop and perform system testing using SOAPUI and fix defects identified during testing and re-execute unit tests to validate results; perform TIBCO error root cause analysis and provide resolution; understand code standards and perform code reviews; and aid in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project effort.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 5 years of experience analyzing, designing and developing TIBCO solutions. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): TIBCO product suite, including API Exchange, Administrator, EMS and Business Works; testing using SOAPUI; Agile software development methodologies; SOA development practices/associated concepts; XML schemas, WSDL and SOAP; design and implementation patterns in TIBCO, including Service Bus Utilization, Service Mediation and Message Based Applications; event driven architecture patterns, including real-time synchronous and asynchronous integration; software development best practices, including version control and release management; and TIBCO error root cause analysis/resolution.
